Hi, my name is Nick Hohman and I'm the Vice President of Waveband Communications. Today we're going to demonstrate the capabilities of our WX-8012 Speaker Microphone. This microphone is extremely durable with a MIL-Spec rating and an industry leading warranty of 3 years.
The microphone has a high-low volume control also comes with a 360 degree swivel clip you can turn. It also has a military style PTT, which is great for firefighters or anyone who wears gloves.
This mic also has a 3.5 mm jack for a receive only earpiece like our WV1-10282. That receive only earpiece is one of our top sellers. It's compatible with the microphone being presented. It also has a right angle plug, alligator clip, and an acoustic tube with two silicone earbuds. Our WV1-10282 Threaded is just a longer version of the 10282 and plugs into the port in the UDC connector of the microphone.
The microphone also includes a threaded port, some police officers prefer to have the receive only earpiece plug into the actual UDC connector. This particular microphone is designed for a Motorola XTS 5000 Portable, however we do stock these mics for any radio model including Harris, Kenwood, Icom and more.
Today, we're going to demonstrate the waterproof capabilities of this microphone we're going to do a dunk test using our Motorola XTS 5000 portable radio. We're going to set the timer for 10 minutes.
10 minutes later...
We're now going to test the WX-8012. In the video, the microphone was checked with connection to the radio and the receiving end could still hear them loud and clear.
